Personal Life

• Her father originated from Kashmir, India, who later on settled in London since acquired British Nationality.
• Her mother, Suzzane Turqoutte, who is a Caucasian of British Nationality, and is now re-settled in Chennai (formerly known as Madras), the Capital of the state of Tamil Nadu in India.
• Her parents divorced when she was very young.
• From Hong Kong, she and her family moved to China, then to Japan. From there she went to France when she was 8, and thereafter lived for a few months at a time in Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Belgium, and other European countries. Then she moved with her family to Hawaii, and eventually to her mother’s home country of England.
• Although it is often assumed that Kaif is from London, she lived there only for three years before finally moving to Mumbai.
• Professionally she started accidentally at her age of sweet fourteen as a model with a photographer named Atul Kasbekar as model for Jewelry campaign when she was in Hawaii. Then she received offers from LG, Cola, Fevicol, Lakme, & Veet. It was the Lakme commercial that got her noticed. She retained Matrix as her Manager to accept work on her behalf and at the price she deserved.
• During Modeling she was offered as Actress by Film Maker Mr. Kaizad Gustad.
• She became very lucky as a model, when she touched the land of India, as every one in the movie field impressed by her hourglass beauty queen figures, as well as her killing sweet smile which comes from her eyes. At this time she hire Matrix as her Manager to deal with the people in the field for her behalf as the normal practice of every high rated Bollywood or Hollywood Star.
• Due to her positive attitude every body love her because of her beauty also whereas she has joined the Indian movies business community being a foreigner.
• She is not easily intimidated and adorned with soft gorgeous looks, but admits that she is emotional, sensitive, and deeply concerned about her own privacy, Almost an incurable romantic, she prefers to wear comfortable decent clothes when at home, hates to do her hair, and above all she dislikes make-up. Admitting to being lonely in the beginning, but now has several friends who she can hang out with.
• No doubt she become a shining star including with a remark that she is also biggest being highest paid Super Star of the Bollywood Film Industry and It was the major fact that her linguistic problem is faced by her but she tangled it very beautifully and now she is having more sophisticated style while she is talking in Indian or Tamil or any other local languages etc. and serving the whole Bollywood as well as Kollywood Film industry and now in continuation of that she has been signed in a Tamil movie “Bheema” opposite a ‘National Award Winner’ Vikram because she is really working as a crowd-puller beauty key.
• Although her first movie ‘Boom’ was panned by the critics and shunned by the audiences, two other Telugu movies ‘Malliswari’ and ‘Pidugu’ did get her noticed.
• She grossed 70 Lakh Rupees for ‘Malliswari’ – making her top the list of the highest paid actresses during a South Indian movie debut.
• Katrina puts on a bold face and states that other Bollywood artistes like Sridevi, who did not know Hindi, did get offers from Bollywood film-makers, and she is no different. She has taken Hindi and dancing lessons to fit in with the Bollywood culture. She likes to display a picture of her learning Kathak dancing where she used to dance 7 hours a day non-stop.
• She proudly received decent reviews about her performance in “Maine Pyar Kiya” and “Sarkar”.
